“Soul Saving Goal”

The wickedness of

What an evil few have done,

Has left me feeling

Baffled & numb.

I will not be silent

About the decadence

And the blatant depravity

But, fight against it

As it is spiritual slavery!

Born a child of God

And a woman of Christ

I have been blessed

To know wrong from right.

I’ll never stop helping

Others see the light

As the world faces

Its greatest fight

Of good vs. evil

It’s a gut

Wrenching plight.

“Loving Myself First”

Even though I fell head

Over heels for you,

I couldn’t give my

Flower to you

Too soon for you to taste,

The sweetest of my nectar

To feel my warm embrace

We agreed to take it slow

But, you became a no show

I love the fact that

We never slept together,

My head, heart and

Soul knew so much better.

As much as I quivered

To have your touch,

Your sudden absence

Would have been too much

For my heart to bear

Shedding continuous

Tear after tear.

So, in the end you went

From the guy with the most

To the biggest ghost.

I harbor no hurt

No pain,

Just glad I loved

Myself first once again.

I’m blessed to awaken

To a canopy of green

That is glorious

And ever so serene.

As I lie alone

Under my covers

I reflect & think

Nature is my lover.

Watching hummingbirds

Speedy little beings,

I can hardly see

Their ever moving wings

From flower to flower,

They dash and dart

Their very existence

Captures my heart.

Though my life at times is

Filled with woes,

I remember God & Jesus

Are all I need to know.

Battling life’s mundane fears

I will not let earthbound worries

Bring me to tears.

I recall all the times

I have been saved

I tell myself to hang on

And be brave!

For God & Jesus

Have my back!

With Their love

There is nothing

That I lack!

“A Solo Spirit”

Through many years

Of being on my own

I’m happier than

Ever being alone.

I learned a lot

My body is my temple

Not some guy’s resting spot.

I value & love myself

Like never before

Wishing I had learned

This years before.

Sure, a relationship

Would be very nice

But, he’s got to be

Super spiritual

Less than that

Is too high a price.

As women

We are conditioned

To live life

On a mission

Of husband, home

And children!

But, not all of us

Fit this mold

Of walking on

The same road.

Some of us are born

With an independent fire

That fuels a very

Different desire.

To live free

And to learn about life,

Who we really are

And so much more
